По результатам исследований СахНИРО были представлены многолетние сводки по показателям воспроизводства горбуши в южной части о. Сахалин и на южных Курильских островах (заход производителей в реки, скат молоди из рек и последующий возврат взрослых рыб, индексы выживаемости в течение речного и морского периодов жизни соответствующих поколений). Для северной части Сахалина такие сводки не публиковались из-за многочисленных неопределенностей в данных. Появившаяся серия публикаций А.А. Живоглядова с соавторами как бы восполняет данный пробел, однако статьи изобилуют многочисленными ошибками и неточностями, вследствие чего следует крайне осторожно воспринимать представленные в них данные и заключения.

Results of long-term studies of pink salmon reproduction (spawners run to the rivers, fry downstream migration and adults returns, their survival during the freshwater and marine periods) are widely presented for southern Sakhalin and southern Kuril Islands but were not published until nowadays for northern Sakhalin because of many uncertainties in the data. New series of scientific articles published by A.A. Zhivoglyadov with co-authors pretends to fill this gap, but they content a lot of errors and inaccuracies, so both presented data and conclusions should be considered very carefully.
